Discipline: Dressage
Lottie Fry is a world-class dressage rider based in the Netherlands at Van Olst Horses. Born into the sport, she grew up surrounded by dressage, following in the footsteps of her mother, who competed in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. For Lottie, the true beauty of dressage lies in the harmony between horse and rider—building trust and creating a deep connection with each horse.
Every day, the horses are her greatest motivation. She starts each morning feeding them and enjoying the peaceful moments in the stable before the day’s training begins. Moving to the Netherlands at 18 was a life-changing decision and the true start of her career. She is forever grateful for the opportunities and guidance from Anne and Gertjan van Olst, who have helped shape her into the rider she is today. Together, they have built an incredible team, and she knows she wouldn’t be where she is without them.

"Harmony between horse and rider is the most beautiful thing about dressage"

"Every day, the horses are my greatest motivation"
Among the many talented horses she has trained, Glamourdale stands out as a true once-in-a-lifetime horse. At home, he is affectionate and playful, always eager for a carrot and a chat. But the moment he steps into the arena, he transforms into the ultimate showman, thriving under the spotlight.
Having the right clothing—from training to competition—is essential for Lottie. Kingsland ensures she feels comfortable and confident throughout the day, no matter where she is. She finds her greatest inspiration in her mother, whose legacy pushes her to always strive for more, and in Anne van Olst, who is there every day, guiding and supporting her journey.
We’re proud to have Lottie and Van Olst Horses as cherished Kingsland ambassadors.

The king welcomes the queen
At Kingsland Equestrian, we are proud to partner with the incredible Charlotte "Lottie" Fry, affectionately known as the "Queen of Dressage," along with van Olst Horses. This partnership celebrates the perfect harmony between Kingsland's rich heritage and Lottie's exceptional talent.

“I love the Kingsland Equestrian wear, so I am thrilled about this great cooperation, especially in the run-up to the Olympics in Paris 2024,” says Lottie.
Influenced by her Olympian mother, the late Laura Fry, Lottie's equestrian journey began at the age of three. Later in life, she regularly devoted her post-school hours to riding 2-3 horses and competing at international pony shows.
When she turned 17, Lottie moved to the Netherlands to work at van Olst Horses and train under the expert guidance of former Olympic rider Anne van Olst. Since then, her career has soared to new heights. After her stunning victory at the FEI World Championships 2022 in Herning, Denmark, she proudly claimed the title of Dressage World Champion.
